Ingredients

  • 3 lb beef chuck roast
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 oz packet of Au Jus Gravy season
  • 1.3 oz packet of Savory Pot Roast seasoning
  • 16 oz bag of baby carrots
  • 1 cup of diced or chopped white onion
  • 24 oz bag of yellow potatoes
  • 1 ½ cups of beef broth
  • mashed potatoes
  • rice

How to make

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker
  2. Season the roast with salt and black pepper on both sides
  3. Add to the slow cooker:
    • au jus gravy seasoning
    • savory pot roast seasoning
    • baby carrots
    • white onion
    • yellow potatoes
    • beef broth
  4. Mix everything together to make sure the potatoes are submerged in the liquid
  5. Set the slow cooker on high for 6 hours
  6. Serve over mashed potatoes or rice and enjoy

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 to 4 days. This is one of those meals that actually tastes even better the next day as the flavors continue to come together. When reheating, add a little extra broth if needed and warm it slowly so the meat stays tender.
